Lesson Three

This week, we again started off with singing 'The Circle of Life' after the vocal warm-up and then we seperated again into the charaters within the first four scenes and the 'Steamboat Willy' dancers. This week I felt a bit more confident with acting and I think I portrayed my character better than last week, so I think that if I improve this much each week I will be confident with performing in the final production and will hopefully get a distinction if I do the best quality performance I can. We changed the stucture of the first four scenes from last week as it was decided that this would be for the best so we had to make sure that we concentrated in order to know where we are coming on and off stage and also where we stand when we are on stage including transitions. I have started writing down my stage directions on my script to make sure that I fully understand what i am doing. Once we had done this, we put all the scenes together and included 'Steamboat Willy' so that now a piece of the production is complete. I need to make sure that I do not forget the new structure for the next rehearsal so that we can continue putting together the production at the pace we are at now.
